The Problem

Lack of youth related environment where they can truely be themselves and grow in whatever they enjoy. So many kids locally are addicted to drugs and alchohol because of a lack of activities to keep them off the streets. There is no place for the kids to go after school and be tutored and mentored in subjects they need help in (i.e. math, english, etc.), or an area they want to exceed in (i.e. art, drama, media, music, etc.). We want to provide a place where teenagers can be themselves and grow into who they are destined to be. A safe haven for addicted, abused or hungry youth.

Plan of Action

Already have a parent 501(c)3 organization and we are working with property/building owners to secure a location. In the meantime we are looking for volunteers, donors, and tutors to help out with teaching and instructing. We plan on having a coffee shop in the building to help supplement the center and to provide a cool hang out spot for the kids while they further there education and fuel there passion; be it art, music, drama, design. We have already worked with others to help create a gameplan and are actively working with property owners to get a location. We are in the process of networking with local businesses, governments and organizations to form a team that can work together as a community.
