The Problem

I am involved in helping the ALS Community known as Lou Gehrig's disease. This is a cruel disease that takes your ability to talk, eat, walk, move and breathe on your own before you die. there is NO TREATMENT! There is NO CURE! People with ALS and their caregivers have a difficult time raising money and awarness for this disease because they progress so quickly and are unable to be left alone. My school, town, and local newspapers have been very helpful and supportive to me and my friends in our crusade to make a difference!

Plan of Action

We stand out in front of grocery stores and ask for donations and we get to talk to people face to face so we get to bring awarness to our community. I also have many friends from around the world that are affected with ALS that I talk to on Facebook everyday. me, my cousin and my friends make our own shirts with catchy sayings about ALS Awarness and wear then to school most days and we sell the ALS Bracelets at sporting events to the other teams and we are able to sit down and tell them about Lou Gehrig's Disease.
