The Problem

The communities of Robeson County are infested with gangs, violence, and drugs. We are youth who are trying to role-model positive behavior for youth involved in these kinds of unhealthy behaviors in our county.

Plan of Action

The plan is to train youth to mentor other youth. The Youth Leadership Cabinet has monthly meetings twice every month to discuss the major issues in their schools and communities. They discuss the best ways to reach At-Risk youth and plan different community projects that involve At-Risk youth. The Youth Leadership Cabinet has impacted their communities with youth empowerment principals such as mastering goals, finding a place in life to belong, and exercising inpendence that leads to positive behavior.
