The Problem

We are trying to provide a high school student with a partial college scholarship. We are also trying to promote education and sustainability in Almora, India, through the Uttarakhand Environmental Education Center.

Plan of Action

We held a cultural bazaar in November, which featured entertainers from across the globe, including Egyptian belly-dancers, and Irish drummer, and Indian classical dancers. The bazaar also featured booths from different countries that sold ethnic food and crafts. We raised over $2,000! Now, we are planning another event, the 'Run For Almora', which is a 5k race that will benefit the same causes as the Cultural Bazaar. As an avid runner, I am looking forward to using my love of running to help promote education!
