Rural Resources is a non-profit community action program started in Stevens County many years ago. The program helps local residents with child services, elderly care, mental health disability housing, domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, and job searches. Rural Resources receives most of its money from federal grants. The Governing board oversees all of the programs head up by social workers, monetary delegation, program problems, and creating new programs for community development. As youth representative, I am the community's leader for the youth. My job is to make sure every young person has a voice. I make sure all programs pertaining to kids keep their best interest in mind. I am the community voice for children.
