The Problem

SHCTO has partnered with local leaders to create a local platform that spreads awareness about registering to become an organ donor. The work of SCHTO is a testament of the spirit of community service.

Plan of Action

In 2009, Sacred Hearts began as a small idea which has transformed into an effective children’s charity. Through partnerships with local political leaders and student groups Sacred Hears has donated over 300 bears to children waiting for organ transplants. Through Sacred Hearts’ Project R.I.S.E. : Reinvent Public Service Through Education, we will award local youth groups grants to begin their own charitable projects. On March 31st, Project R.I.S.E. will award our first $500 community service grant to Lovely Ladies of Laurel Mentoring Group.
