We see ourselves educating and empowering through a repertoire of productions, global service, and history. Though the group is not officially organized, we have created the group on facebook. Here we send bi-weekly Black history facts through messaging those who have added the group is a friend(which has just shy of 400 members). There is also a discussion board on this page that lets people express their feelings on certain issues, as well as letting us know things that they would like to see in the group once it is established on campus. In addition to this we are in the process of creating a compact disc that features music that narrates this rich history through mainly jazz and hip-hop, but as well as music from other cultures to open people's minds to the trends and traditions of people and places outside of their own residence. Once the group is formed at school, we will have forums, playwrights, seminars, food drives, tastes of different cultures, as well as social events that display the music of the group.
