The Problem

This community of Santa Maria, Ca is having a bad rep for shootings and gang violence. There are not alot of activities for families to attend together and no sporting activities like this for women so I wanted to bring this here to give families a safe & fun place to go together and have live sports entertainment while also helping the women of this town get into shape and contribute to social change. To show this town that people of every color, age, and background can come together and have a great night.

Plan of Action

I have my organization going already since September 09, and I have grown from 3 girls to 17 in a matter of 1 month. We are signed up to do Toys for Tots with the National Guard and other various community events. My organization brings together various groups of diverse backgrounds & ethnicities. Young and old people alike LOVE to watch out games and have fun together. I have had many compliments on how this sporting event is bringing together the community and not profiling anyone, because us skaters ourselves are all of different backgrounds and ethnicities.
