See It

In our parish (equilvalent to a county) there is a wetland preservation area called Alligator Bayou and Spanish Lake. It is an area of wetland that two men have worked to preserve, to keep a home for many animals including alligators and alligator snapping turtles. Right next to our parish is Baton Rouge, LA. Baton Rouge is proposing a loop that will connect I-10 to I-12. We are complete in support of this. However, one of the proposed loops runs right through Alligator Bayou and Spanish Lake. We have decided to join the Environmental Club at our school in fighting against this proposed loop. We have formed many petitions and attended a meeting concerning the loop in which we spoke to many members of the community, informing them of this problem.
