The Problem

I have created a club to fundraise and spread awareness on the Dolphin and small cetacean slaughter in Taiji, Japan. 25,000 dolphins and porpoises are killed each year for their mercury poisoned meat and the Japanese people have no idea. I created the club to raise money to support the rebels fighting hands on in Japan. So technically i am helping the community of Taiji with my donations to stop the slaughter of dolphins and whales not protected by the International Whaling Commission

Plan of Action

I am a senior at carver high school in carver, ma and my most effective way to "get the word out" was to create a club. To create a club i had to get approval from Scott Knief, the principal. I created a presentation to present and it got passed. I then had to find a place to hold meetings and an advisor to well, advise. Ms Littleton, the enviornmental science teacher agreed to help me with my mission after encountering a few obstacles involving advisors. Then it was a matter of finding members and advertising. I created hundreds of flyers and posted them around the school i also would ask the stray student here and there if they were interested in making a difference. We had our first meeting and 22 people showed. we are now on our fourth meeting and it is successful. it is still a work in progress and we are working on fundraising mainly.
