The Problem

For a very long time in the Plymouth area, teens and college-age people have been underrepresented in the arts, media and music. Much like the state of education in Plymouth, and moreso around the country, the interests of the most socially malleable and impressionable demographic are being neglected, which has led to an adult illusion of rebellion and misbehavior.

Plan of Action

We will use the power of music, concerts, and an rich atmosphere of arts to empower the area's youth to engage in creative, musical, and artistic expression. We will do this by continuing to book a wide variety of young musicians, in hopes of fostering a tight-knit community of artists. This community will be reflected to the demographically-wide-ranging audience of the concerts to help grow a vibrant art community in the South Shore, Mass. area. To further aid in this goal, we will be launching an online social network called The Local Music Revolution in the spring, which will serve as an online community meeting place.
