Service Learning
the problem:
I have class of approximately 25 special education students. My goal is to teach leadership,humility and compassion for others through service.

32why it's important:
This is important because many of my students have not been apart of the giving end in many occasions. And I want them to understand that its okay to do for others from the sincerely. I am expecting them to learn many things from these experiences and it give us an opportunity with life skill instruction to the self-contained classes.
the plan of action:
My actions plan includes many field trips that deal with service. The field trips include community service in the nursing homes, elementry schools and service within their high school to name a few.
how you can get involved:
We have very limited resources and aiding the class with money and or supplies to complete projects will be an appreciated help.
