The Problem

During this Holiday season, a group of friends and I decided we wanted to serve the less fortunate. Through a seris of acts we wanted to better the lives of some of the families in our community. We adopted five families through Northern Valley Catholic Social Services and bought them gifts for the holiday. We helped with the canned food drive and brought in about 7000 cans school-wide. We also served food at the mission to many of the homeless families there. In addition, we helped a widow move into a new house. And also helped a single lady build a new fence in her backyard. We hoped that somehow, someway, we could make a difference in the lives of a few people this season. And that our service would give them a sense of hope in their lives, so that they know that they are really cared about and more importantly how much God loves them.
