S.H.I.N.E

As Miss Teen New Jersey International, I have started a group called S.H.I.N.E. This stands for students helping instill new esteem. Through this club we raise awareness on the prevention or childhood bullying. We travel throughout elementary and middle schools speaking to children on the dangers of childhood bullying. We hold events and workshops to try and help kids with successful conflict resolution. We want to encourage the acceptance of one’s differences, promote compassion to accept those differences and inspire a change in behavior.  We would use this grant money to get the supplies we need to make posters, and have give aways when we talk to elementary schools. We are determined to break the cycle against childhood violence one positive word at a time.
