The Problem

The problems that are being solved by doing this project are filling the needs of students, whose families cannot provide their children with the proper clothing and supplies they need in order to be prepared for school. The supplies I'm collecting are those that the school district cannot necessarily provide for the children due to the economy, forcing school to cut budgets.

Plan of Action

I have set up a few boxes throughout my community where people can drop off donations at their free will. I plan on collecting new or gently used clothing as well as brand new school supplies. The supplies recieved will be incorporated with a local back bag stuffing organization titled, "Book Bag Buddies." The clothing recieved will be tallied and sorted by size and age appropriateness, then handed to the school nurses due to confidentiality. To date, Shirts for Success has collected over 500 clothing items.
