The Problem

Through our first annual breast cancer walk our goal is to bring awareness of breast cancer to our fellow staff and peers. Not only do we want to bring awareness to our peers on campus but also to the community as our breast cancer walk is open to the public as well. We are not only bringing awareness we are also donating all our proceeds to St. Mary Medical Center's Breast Health Program.

Plan of Action

Our plan of action has been to find a place in need of our help and planning to donate all our proceeds to them; St.Mary Medical Center's Breast Health Program.Our donation to St. Mary Medical Center's Breast Health Program will help them to increase awareness, education, and to provide access to needed service related to breast health for women in the High Desert. We've sold breast cancer ribbons to bring awareness to breast cancer and we've planned our breast cancer walk. We have also sold the ribbons, water and passed out fliers at a recent club fair to raise money. Our next action is to host our Breast Cancer Walk on Oct.19. Through these steps our biggest success was invoving our community in the walk and bringing awareness to our fellow staff, students and community.
