The Central Carolina Jaycees raise money to be given to the community to help fund research, awareness, etc. for children, adults, and the elderly. I would like to have a spaghetti dinner event that will bring awareness to the community about Cystic Fibrosis. This dinner will have the local elementary school sing and speakers will tell real life stories of having the Cystic Fibrosis illness. This event will not only give funds to research in Cystic Fibrosis but will also be given to the Title I elementary school choir so that they can buy new music supplies and equipment. I would like to call this event “We Sing a Song for a Cure.” Bob Marley, the great musician once said “When the music hits, you shall feel no pain.” I would hope through this event that I will bring the awareness of Cystic Fibrosis which is one of the most common fatal genetic diseases in the United States. Through this event our community will renew their commitment to fighting this deadly disease that affects an estimated 30,000 American men, women, and children. Our chapter would deeply appreciate any donation as it would definitely help us to raise a substantial amount of money for “Sing a Song for a Cure.” I will be anxiously awaiting your reply. Thank you so much!
