The Problem

I have co-founded a Youth Group called SMART Youth. SMART Youth was launched in 2005 as a program dedicated to youth (ages 13 - 22) living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. SMART Youth's goal is to create a supportive social environment where youth can feel safe and learn how to get started in taking care of themselves, to be active leaders in their community, and how to deal during this crucial time in their lives.

Plan of Action

I hope to increase numbers of youth talking to youth and becoming more educated on sex education, STD's, and HIV. There are a large array of topics that the youth set out to do outreach on, and I feel the best way to educate our generation and future generations is to have peers educating and working together.
