Smiles For Everyone
the problem:
I put my leadership skills and dental experience together and took up a project for my Girl Scout Gold Award to sign-up neighborhood dentists to provide free dental checkup and treatments to financially distressed families. I visited numerous homeless centers and connected families to providing dentists in their area.

0why it's important:
This is important to me because once I am done with college I would like to pursue a dental career and still be involved with organizations that help the community. Working on this project let me see what a dentist's job is like and by doing that I helped many homeless people along the way. Homeless people dont have the money to go see dentists and I thought that this would be the best way. By doing this project I got to learn how to work with different people and they got to learn how to keep their teeth clean and how important it is to be healthy and hygienic.
the plan of action:
No matter where I go to college I am going to continue this project every six months. So that the homeless people can continue to be educated on health and hygiene.
how you can get involved:
Others can help by contacting local homeless shelters and dental offices and doing the same thing.
