Love and Mercy Outreach Programs, Incorporated focuses on at-risk youth and teens who come from low income or impoverished homes where there is little familial support and/or guidance. The mission is to instill in the youth the tools needed to not only survive, but also achieve success in every arena of their lives.
Project S.O.L.A.C.E.(Streching Out Loving Arms Creating Encouragement)was birthed under the umbrella of Love and Mercy Outreach Programs. It began as a mentoring group for young boys. However, as the program grew, new needs were discovered and therefore new goals were established for the programs. S.O.L.A.C.E. believes that the single most important factor in a youth’s life is a caring adult. Therefore, S.O.L.A.C.E. has a team of adults that work with young men and women in every arena of their lives: spiritually, emotionally, socially, educationally, financially, and interpersonally. These adults teach the youth life skills including but not limited to money management, budgeting, financial planning, career planning, obtaining and maintaining gainful employment, success in education, enhancing and increasing self-esteem, social skills, etiquette, tutoring, and mentoring. These youth would not otherwise have access to these tools due to their environments and/or backgrounds. S.O.L.A.C.E. reaches out to those that others would look over and/or write off, and aims to change what could potentially be an ill fate.
S.O.L.A.C.E. is a non-profit organization that operates solely on volunteer work and donations from gracious members of our community. S.O.L.A.C.E. has had great success in changing the lives of many young people. Founder and CEO of S.O.L.A.C.E., Michael Fowler, feels that the way to a positive tomorrow depends on what is instilled in youth today.
S.O.L.A.C.E. is a non-profit organization with 501c (3) status, and any donation made to this organization is tax-deductible.
