the problem:
After her aunt died of cervical cancer just 33 days after she was diagnosed, 2006 BRICK Award winner Ravneet Kaur set up a mobile clinic for people of all backgrounds providing free education, heart disease and cancer screenings and on-site physician care for uninsured immigrants in New York City. Called The South Asian Community Health Project (SACH), Ravneet's organization has a partnership with NYU Medical School, and has given assistance to more than 3,000 people, diagnosing 515 people with disease before it was too late to cure them.
