The Problem

Drop Dead Gorgeous Org works to tackle issues that girls ages 11-18 face in underprivileged communities and developing countries abroad. Spotlight Girls is a free program that selects 12 girls facing economic hardships but doing positive things in their communities, interviews them, and invites them to several educational workshops.

Plan of Action

We are recruiting girls in junior high schools in Brooklyn and Queens of New York. After selecting 12 girls, they will be video interviewed on their goals and contributions to their communities and participate in seven workshops that educate the girls on issues such as: substance abuse, sex education, career goals, and healthy living.
