Spring Garden takes on recycling!

the problem:

The Spring Garden Do Something Club is tackling the recycling problem in the lunchroom.  They contacted the public works departement and requested recycling bins.  During each lunch session, members of the club will monitor the bins and encourage children to recycle.  Each week, the members are responsible for putting the recycling out for pick up.  This pilot program is being launched for the fifth and sixth grade lunch program.  If it's successful, hopefully, we can bring it to the lower grades.
