Stacked Greenhouse
the problem:
My project is a greenhouse building. Green houses already exist. However, greenhouses build outwards. My idea is to build upwards. Having floors equivalent to an acre and having 22 floors would reduce the space needed for for farms. If one building is equal to a farm, then you can fit more buildings on half the land needed for a farm. Also this will greatly impact the production rate of fruits and vegetables. This will drive the price of the product down and the supply up, keeping the equilibrium maintained today. Also the stacked greenhouse would provide perfect growing conditions in locations that can't support plant life. Such as Arizona or even other countries. This will keep products local as well since every state can have a building, even if its not on a farm. People love local product because it is more healthy.

20why it's important:
This project is important to me because the climate change is affecting the crops in farms today. With less crops to grow, the price is higher and people are going hungry. My project will boost crop production and lower prices, providing food for everyone.
the plan of action:
My plan of action is to raise money and use my resources efficiently. I can take advantage of my residence in in North Carolina and talk to farm owners and greenhouse manufacturers who may be interested in my idea. I can cut down on my costs by going to places with a surplus of supplies such as wood, concrete, and farming supplies.
