For most people across the world life is an uphill battle. Our organization works to alleviate some of the hardships of this battle and use our own personal advantages in education and good fortune to provide services to people in need. Currently our group works to help people in the countries of the Dominican Republic and Haiti, with hopes of expanding our cause in future.
We look to serve the underprivileged, unemployed or disadvantaged people who struggle everyday to provide necessities for their families. Adequate food, clean water, proper nutrition and parasites are ongoing issues, especially with children. Sexually-transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS, drug use and prostitution are also major concerns for the people we serve.
These issues are the result of a chain that begins with poor education, unfortunate circumstance, cyclical poverty and poor health that can often overwhelm people and families who are working hard to keep their heads above water.
Our group hopes to not only provide medical relief to underprivileged people but to offer hope, opportunity and whatever supplies we can to improve the quality of life in the areas we service.
Currently during one to two week stays in the Dominican Republic or Haiti our organization sets up temporary medical clinics to talk with patients, diagnose problems and provide proper medication or treatment. We conduct group door-to-door visits in some areas to administer medical, spiritual and other services such as clothing and toys. In addition we work with established organizations and professional from these countries to build strong and beneficial bonds with other dedicated missionaries.
