Strengthen Families Project

The Strengthening Families Project will continue to utilize the facilities of Creative Expressions Learning Center. Additionally, we will seek other locations in more rural areas, such as churches and schools, to host program. The program will hire three to five teachers from Creative Expressions Learning Center to assist with the childcare needs during the session and help with activities. Each session will have a speaker with training or education on the topic for the session, such as early childhood, psychology, doctor, or background related to the topic of the session. The speakers will be reserved a month in advance to give parents enough notice. Additionally, speakers will be given guidelines on the length of the session, topic to be discussed along with any concerns or questions that parents had previous to the meeting. The Program Coordinator will attend all sessions to ensure that parents are allowed opportunities to have discussions and ask questions. Currently, we have provided activities and parent education to over 75 families. We would like to double that for this year.
