To create the organization, I contacted 4 other members of my high school orchestra and put together a list of music we could play. Next I contacted a local cafe and set up one day a month where we could come in and play. Soon people were coming in and hiring us for private events, so we made business cards. We played for the local historical society, the Kiwanis, the Optimist Club, the Harper Avenue Business Association, and many, many more events. Soon local papers caught on to our story, and we were recognized anywhere we played. Our music was appreciated by both the youth in St. Clair Shores and the senior citizens, and we took on a very loyal following.
