The Problem

Our instructor from high school started a group called Strings Across the Sea, that every so often would travel to Ireland to play all different styles of music for children and adults alike, and I found that it brought people together on a level that only music can acheive. Playing at schools, cathedrals and tourist sites allowed us to teach and learn throughout the entire experience, all at the same time and all through an incredibly amazing bunch of songs.

Plan of Action

I would like for this program to keep going, although I am now in college. I am not sure if I will be able to join them when they go back to Ireland, because of the expense, but want to get the word out that small towns can stir up big things when they have a good music program, and not only orchestra, but band and choir all together in one group? Usually it's not something you see in a small high school, so I want to give credit where credit is due and thank the instructors from my school for giving me such a life-changing experience through music.
