Strings With Wings, Inc. is an organization that I have founded. We give impoverished children the chance to learn music through providing instruments, equipment, and private instruction. By giving these children a musical education, we open the door to success, and allow them the opportunity to transcend their poverty.
We have 1 ongoing project in Saltillo, MX and we are currently fundraising for 2 projects that will hopefully take place on the Mississippi, Gulf Coast in the summer of 2010 and 2011.

36Music is important in children’s lives not only because it can help them cope with family situations and daily struggles but it also gives them a since of self-worth. Music instruction is not only known for helping an individual musical but also physiologically, emotionally, and educationally. I want to help at risk youth by giving them a good outlet and inspiration. Music has the power to change lives and I want to share that power with others.
Mission statement:
To enrich the lives of children through music by providing: support, resources, leadership,
educational opportunities and cultural awareness in underprivileged communities.
Strings With Wings helps underprivilaged children by giving them all the tools nessissary to learn the violin. We cover all expenses for their education as well as concert clothing.
We would eventually like to expand to different stringed instruments such as viola, cello, double bass, mandolin,harp etc.
We hope to expand Strings With Wings, Inc in impoverished towns, villages and countries throughout the world. However, right now we are sharing the gift of music with children in Saltillo, MX and soon to be on the Gulf Coast.
You can also help by informing other people about our mission. Another way you can help is by running an instrument drive at your school or college. If you are interested in helping us please leave a comment!
We take finacle donation as well as instruments, music books, music accessories and donated publicity. If you are donating an instrument or music books etc. please make sure they are in a useable condition as they will be given to children who can't afford the equipment.
We have a new project at hand! We are sponsoring 7 foster care girls from the ages of 13-17 at a group home. We will provide all nessissary equipment and violin instructor.
I will also be putting together a music camp for them during the summer of 2010. This will all take place on the Mississippi, Gulf Coast. This will be our first project here in the United States!! Please help us out in our endevor to share the gift of music with underprivilaged children and teens!
