The Problem

Student Movement for Real Change aims to answer poverty through the power of young leaders. We provide a comprehensive program to educate, empower and support university students to identify development projects and social enterprises that offer sustainable solutions to health and education in developing communities.

Plan of Action

SMRC works with young leaders to ensure that projects are sustainable through local empowerment and revenue generating programs managed by social entrepreneurs. In the last six years SMRC has successfully built and developed four libraries, four classrooms, 16 latrines, a community center, two soccer fields, hosted numerous hygiene and health workshops, hosted a soccer tournament, started an entrepreneurship education program in Sierra Leone, led over 25 college campus organizations, hosted four national conferences, and developed a global development internship for 70 youth. We are just getting started!
