Students for Clean Water

the problem:

Every 15 seconds a child dies from water related diseases. This happens mostly in impoverished countries with either no water purification systems in the villages or villages where water has been taken over by for-profit companies. As a student organization we want to raise awareness and funds to bring UV water purification systems to these villages.

why it's important:

Clean water is necessary for human survival. Without it we will not thrive. Students for Clean Water takes the stance that EVERYONE deserve clean water to drink and as a natural resource no one should have to pay outrageous amounts for it. There are too many people dying from unclean water when the problem is a simple one to solve.

the plan of action:

Students for Clean Water plans to educate the community about the corruption in the water industry and the need for affordable water purification systems globally. We will raise funds to help build and sustain water treatments plants in countries that currently have none in place.

how you can get involved:

Others can help by opening their eyes to the problem we face with a shortage of clean water. By educating themselves and spreading their knowledge they will bring awareness to a cause that we can no longer ignore.
