Students for Darfur Campaign

the problem:
I created a non-profit organization in my community and high school to raise awareness and money for the victims of starvation and genocide in Darfur, Sudan. We have raised over 3,700 dollars so far and are expecting to raise over $6,000 total. Students in the local high schools are now aware of the conflict in Sudan and have shown interest in aiding those affected. I have organized raffles, the sales of over 350 "Stop Genocide in Sudan" t-shirts, a benefit concert, and coin drives. A large community event is in the planning stage currently.

im hoping people in my area might want to start and organize something like that in texas.
i think if more high schools across the country were aware we could make a huge donation to the people of darfur.
