Support Our Soldiers
the problem:
I have many friends and family who have been shipped out to the War on Terror. We have Soldiers fighting for our Safety and Freedom in the Middle East right now and the least we can do is show our support. I have organized a Fundraiser to raise as much money and supplies (food, toilet tree items, and over seas cell phone calling cards) for our Soldiers and their families. I have been working with a company called Text A Day to help raise money for my big Fundraiser Party on June 6th of 2009. I have also alerted my community that they CAN help. My friends have been a huge part in helping me continue my program by having car washes around the valley, and my church has been a HUGE help in letting me use their Sports Center to hold my Fundraiser in June. I just want to let our Men and Women out there know that we are here thinking about them and they will never fade in our memories.

My project will raise money for the United States Marine Corps and the people who have family in War. This Project will also collect items for our soldiers overseas right now that will help them throughout the day, such as: toilet tree items (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.), calling cards that work overseas, and snacks (granola bars, can foods, ramen noodles, etc).
the plan of action:
I have been working with local stores to have them donate supplies and help me put fliers around the community to let people know about my Project.
I want to get an AD in the newspaper, so that I can reach more people all over the State.
I have utilized www.Facebook.com and spread the word over the internet to let people know that we do care.
I have people from all over the world in my group.

This website above has so much information on how you can send donations to the Army. We can all do our parts to get our communities involved by talking to eachother and letting people know that this is what is going on and by maybe putting aside a few rolls of toilet paper, buying an extra toothpaste and brushes, or even going and buying a calling card so that our Soldiers over seas can speak to their families. We need to let them know that they are definitely not alone in this War on Terror.
