The Problem

Taylor's Closet exists to provide girls at risk in the South Florida area with a store atmosphere filled with new designer clothing so they can come and feel beautiful, valued and worthy. The opposite of everything they have experienced their entire lives. Although, like many other stores, Taylor's Closet is different in one way. All the clothes are absolutely free!

Plan of Action

The history of Taylor's Closet is pretty simple: First I decided to collect clothes from my friends, I was only 14 when I had the idea. Within a few months I had 70 bags of clothing in my room. Next I was offered some space in a foster care agency, then I asked a local contracting company to build me a store. Last year we saw over 600 girls come through our store. We are now in the process of renovating a new store, to relocate our Headquarters. We've outgrown the old one! There are 32,000 girls at risk girls in South Florida. Our goal is to reach every one of them. It's a big goal, but we can do it! The new store will have a cafe and art studio so the girls can paint and draw. Our goal is to have the store totally done by January.
