Hopefully we'll launch a section of our site to sell our window clings! Email us if you're interested until we get it all set up.

the problem:
The problem we are trying to solve is how people are unaware on the environmental damage that humans contribute to. Our goal is to help promote recycling programs, tell others facts, and make our world a better place.

6why it's important:
I noticed that compared to the San Francisco area, where I visited during winter break, there aren't as many hybrid cars being driven. I decided to do something about this. Team K4A consists of me (Kaitlyn), Kimber, Katherine, Keegan, and Albert, hence the name K4A. We also consulted our science teacher, Mrs. Trevarthen.
We contacted McCord's Vancouver Toyota to set up a program with them so that people who buy hybrid cars or get their hybrid repaired at McCord's will receive a window cling that we designed that has our team logo, our website link, and the phrase,"I K4A Better World, With my Hybrid Car," Our website, www.teamk4a.tk , contains information about the environmental benefits of earth friendly cars, car comparisons, and simple ways that everyone can contribute to help the environment. Our website is up and running, the window clings have been printed, the project is now done, and hybrid car customers at McCord's Vancouver Toyota can now receive a window cling! In March, our local newspaper, The Columbian, printed an article on our project! The online version on the Columbian website is no longer available, but we are featured on the Prius Owners Group website! The link is:
the plan of action:
To put together our project, we had to contact local car dealerships, companies that make window clings, research web hosts, and find support. We also had to research web design and how to get our website up and running.
how you can get involved:
We have built and posted Kaitlyn's Photo Mission website, which consists of how people are becoming 'green' around the country. If you have any pictures from your community of how you live green and would like us to post them, please email them to us at teamk4a@gmail.com! The additional website is http://www.photomission.tk
Thank you to Do Something for the End of the Year grant! This will help us continue to make a difference!
project updates:
With the Photo Mission site up and running, our next project will focus on recycling! Stay tuned!
