the problem:
Children all over the country are in hospital beds right now because they have cancer. They should be running outside or playing with friends, but instead, they have to stay inside and wait. These kids don't have anything to love and hold during the long, cold night and that's where my project steps in! :)

Instead of doing fun things that we all take advantage of daiy, these kids lie in bed. By giving them a teddy bear, they have something that gives them hope and love. In something as small as a shoebox, a stuffed animal will be placed along with a card with a support message. Also, a coloring book and some crayons will be part of the package.
the plan of action:
First, I will start at my school with the kids there donating coloring books, making cards, or drawing pictures to be placed in the shoebox. I will also have them donate shoeboxes. A few days after school, my friends and I will make the gift boxes and put the things in it. Then on a weekend, the shoeboxes will be delivered to the children's hospital where we will all had deliver the toys.
how you can get involved:
By getting the grant, I will be able to buy gift BAGS and that will allow me to include a book, a stuffed animal, coloring pages, and a card to as many kids as possible! It would also help with starting fundraisers to raise more money for the local childrens hospital! :)
