The Problem
A group of thirty teenagers, all part of the CRILA Leadership program(search google), from all around Connecticut is working hard to help raise the funding Make-A-Wish needs to grant wishes to medically eligible children.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Wish-come-true experiences can do wonders by providing a much-needed respite from lengthy hospital stays and medical treatments. They give back to a child what a serious illness can take away—the chance to simply enjoy being a kid, choose something that will inspire happiness, and spend precious time with their families.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut is 100% donor-dependent, and over 80 percent of every donated dollar goes to its program services. See www.wish.org
