The Problem

Even before the economic strain in the United States, lower income & even some middle income parents of newborns have experienced difficulty properly providing newborn clothing, hats, onesies, socks, diapers and all basic things involved with bringing a new baby home from the hospital. Our team is trying to solve a baby clothing shortage to parents, especially those Mothers who are transitioning from the hospital to homeless shelters and safe haven homes as a result of life altering experiences, that included domestic violence and loss of income due to job loss.

Plan of Action

I have formed a team of youth community service volunteers, with an adult Volunteer also, in support of the 501(c)3 non profit organization, www.lovedtwice.org to begin collecting new and gently used newborn basic necessities to donate to parents who find themselves without any other way possible to purchase baby clothing. Our team is currently saving our own money that we receive from birthday gifts this year as a beginning to collecting enough money to purchase new baby clothing. We also have created flyers to distribute throughout the community to begin to receive gently used and even great new baby clothing donated by anyone who would like to support our team's volunteer effort in support of www.lovedtwice.org.
