The Problem

I am trying to transform out school into both an energy efficient, as well as environmentally friendly program. Rather than throwing out all garbage and then paying to have it taken away, we are trying to collect some trash to ship for free to a program called "Terracycle" which rather than using energy to recycle the trash, they use a process called upcycling in which no extra energy is needed.

Plan of Action

So far we have taken this idea to administrators within the school and we are waiting to hear back on a decision. From there we plan to begin selling Capri-Sun in the cafeteria and collecting the pouches to ship to the company.
