The Problem

Long Beach Polytechnic High School is a massive and extremely diverse school. Long Beach is home to some of the most concentrated ethnicities outside of their mother country, such as Cambodian. Students at Poly range from famous rapper's children, to the most common student. The point of our project is that everyone has room to be thankful, and we should all write it down on occasion.

Plan of Action

1)Talk with Mrs. Speir, the woman who will be able to say yay or nay to our project, and ask her to start saving the banners that Student Government usually throws out. We'll need 6-9. 2)Figure out a good day for the rally, or maybe two. 3)Discuss the projects with the clubs we are involved in, and especially the staff, and try to start collecting some funds for prizes. 4)Go around to local stores and ask if they have scrap paper we could use for the project. Also perhaps seek sponsors for the materials we'll need for the project. 5)This can be done at many different times, it's numbered 5 for the sake of numbering. Do a 'school walk'. This would best be accomplished after school. It would be a good time to brainstorm possible locations for the 'Thank you Areas'. These areas need to have space for the banners. We're looking for unique places, like the foreign language building, or the faculty lounge. 6)Begin telling teachers about the project. Tell them this is a very quick process, that can have a big impact. Offer them supplies and raffle tickets for anyone who makes a 'card' 7)Post Banners, 2-2 1/2 weeks before thanksgiving break, complete with directions, quotes, and decorations. 8)Rally time. 9)Post winning raffle numbers, giving a location where that person with the winning ticket may pick up their prize 10)Tear down Posters 11)Type up cards?
