Im trying to help the somali community fight against illiteracy and to integrate the culture of the somali community living in the city and the other communities.
Believe It
This project will help the somali community and the other communities living in the city fight against illiteracy in the city.
Build It
Im trying to create this project to benefit the somali community in my city,majority of them have no or little education at all.
My first step is to talk with the local community centre authority and register alot of somalis in the ESL classes and help the instructors with the translations.
Talk with the police department to have sessions with the somali community about the U.S laws and to curb the increasing rate of crimes.
The other step is to end or weaken the cultural barrier that makes the somali people not move forward in terms of civilizations.
How Can Others Get Involved?
General Volunteering,any kind of help will be appreciated e.g book donations e.t.c

Guys I will be happy to hear any comment from u guys to make this dream of mine a reality. Im working now with the police department to organize a town hall meeting with the somali community. Reports from International org. says that 70% of somalians are illiterate.
