The Problem

As a young aduly myself, Im at the tender age where I am leaving my childhood and becoming an adult. And with that process comes a realization that not everyone was as lucky as I was growing up, I was never seriously sick, I had never gone to the hospital for long periods of stay, nor been forced to stay away from evertday childhood activities. The focus IBBT has in mind is the children of the community, the children with cancer. We are helping them in the aspects that at least for a day, they have the joy of just being a child and not thinking about being cooped up in a room or when the next doctors appointment is.

Plan of Action

I wanted to start a philanthropic project in my communitee, and thought about doing one with a club at school but with it being my sennior year I knew that this would be the only year I would get to participate. So I called the Oklahoma State secretary and founded IBBT as my own non profit organization. From there I called hospitals in my local area with children residents and got my school involved by asking the National Honor Society to sponsor our first event.
