The IMPACT Project: Boston University Transdisciplinary Team

We see our project challenge as two-fold: 1) Graduate and professional students are not trained to work across disciplines, or to collaborate with multi-disciplinary colleagues in meaningful field work experiences, and: 2) Social service delivery in low-income communities is fragmented, superficial (e.g. does not address root causes, but only symptoms), and ultimately most inefficient and ineffective for those who need to most take advantage of these services.
