The Problem

I currently vounteer with the Milpitas Food Pantry. The people I meet and encounter probably openly epitomize the American spirit more than any other group. They have hope in their eyes: a hope to be free from welfare and overall government care, a hope that their children will succeed in life, and a hope that they will be able to retire comfortably.

Plan of Action

First, I consulted my volunteer coordinator to see if our project would be allowed. Then, I advertised the event at school and asked people to donate perisable food at the pantry on the date that we had the food drive.
