The SistersKeeper Foundation- Sisters Teach: Reading Project
the problem:
We are trying to solve the problem of illiteracy in african american women. This will also be the platform to educate others about the issues that affect not only african american women, but all women.

It is important that everyone is afforded the chance to succeed. Reading is the foundation for a quality education which can lead to a successful career.
I feel that this project will improve the outlook of african american women, not only by members of other races, but within their own race as well.
the plan of action:
1. Start a Foundation (The SistersKeeper Foundation)and get necessary funding
2. Get Volunteers and assign positions
3. Implement a teaching plan and applicant screening process.
4. Get materials
5. Find a local school, library, etc. that would be willing to house and promote our project
6. Start screening and accepting applicants
7. Start program

Time- Volunteer to help in whatever capacity you are qualified for or would like to try
Money- It takes money for us to get the necessary resources needed to implement this plan.
Resources- If you are able to donate books, learning/teaching tools, or anything else it would be appreciated.
