There are many problems facing today's Teens, and among the largest is religious discrimination, the lack of religious rights, and amount of solid study sources for those wishing to follow an alternative Faith such as Paganism. The Young Tree Pagan Educational Grove has been created to begin solving these problems, and work as a National organization which provides teens and their families with educational materials and events, but our purpose goes much further than that, as our mission statement and purpose states below.... So what is the purpose of Young Tree Grove? To act as Educators and resource providers within the Pagan, and Non-Pagan Community. Introducing the concept of Paganism to all through educational functions such as Camps, seminars, ECT. We believe that by educating the general Public, the overall acceptance of Paganism as a whole will increase. Allowing better religious rights and tolerance to be achieved for all who practice an Alternative Religion such as Paganism. Also, we wish to improve the Religious Rights of teens living in the United States. We also carry out our plans and projects in a way in which people of all ages come together. It is our hope that through these doings, others shall find their own way to connect with the Divine, and Great Mother and that they achieve a further understanding of themselves. We do not believe in taking part in illegal activities, pushing our personal beliefs on others, or educating those under the age of 18 without the proper consent from their Parent and/or Guardian. Young Tree Grove is special in it's own right due to several things. First of all, we are the first national organization to truly take part in the education of the next generation of Paganism, as well as that the Founder, Leo, is 14. We have had a wonderful response so far, but much more is needed if we are to truly make a difference in the Pagan and Non-Pagan Community! Diversity is encouraged, along with the idea that all teens have a voice, and should be allowed to use it! We wish to be For Teens, by Teens, meaning that our organization is both ran by, and supported by Teens! Great! I practice Wicca, and even my grandmother thinks wiccians and pagans worship the devil!
