Treats for Troops
the problem:
We are supporting our troops and giving them something to smile about. They donate their left over candy to the local children near their base.

100why it's important:
Our club chose to do this project because supporting the troops is very important to us. Giving them things encourages them and gives them hope.
the plan of action:
We are creating collection boxes for the candy out of recycled shoe boxes. The boxes will be placed throughout our high school and elementary school. We have made this into a competetion to help more people get involved. When this project is completed we will have impacted numerous people. The people who donated candy will feel good about themselves for helping others out and the troops receiving the candy will also be impacted by the generosity of the people back home. If the troops choose to donate the candy to the local children then the children will also be impacted and feel loved and important. This is a great project that is going to get everyone involved and help them to feel good about helping others.
