This month : Try water!
A lot of the calories we consume (especially in the winter with hot cocoa, coffee and tea) come from what we drink and often go unnoticed when we think about what we consume in a day. It's also important to stay hydrated when the air is dry and cold. According to the Mayo Clinic, more water leads to better hydration ( less chapped lips, think Valentines comin up ppl), clearer skin, and more energy!
So maybe instead of a soda or hot chocolate, try water! Or if you already drink a lot of water, drink just one more glass a day.
Good Luck!

The Problem
I want to show students like me how easy it is to make small changes that can lead to healthier habits. It's never too late to start eating better or to take better care of your body. Obesity is a growing epidemic and not only does it affect a person's physical health, it can keep people from living fuller lives.
Plan of Action
Being healthy is not about never eating chocolate or living in the gym, it's about making small choices that add up to to a longer and healthier lifestyle. Small changes like walking instead of driving really do make a difference. I want to challenge people to make small changes and let them see the effect it has on their well being.
