Union Grove High School NJROTC Program

Hello. My name is Joshua Hamilton. I am a current high school Senior at Union Grove High School in McDonough, Ga. Our club, Navy NJROTC needs fund to continue our drive as we are the future leaders of America. Our club includes community volunter's as well as we hold the young men and women of this club to a higher standard with our character, conduct and grades. Our club consist of an Academic team, Orienteering team, Rifle team, Armed Regulation Team, Unarmed Regulation Team and Fitness Team. We are staying after school everyday to practice being good at what we strive to do as well as continuing to hold ourself to a higher standard to show other young and men and women in our community how we school act and carry ourselves. We have tried to raise money through our friends and family as well as all the business's we continue to support in our community on a daily basis, to no avail. Our county recently concluded that they would not fund our competetion to anything outside of our county. They have decided that we are not even allowed to use our county school buses to compete anywhere outside of our county. We need to compete to show the nation our talent and skills. Last year, the county wanted to counsel our program all together had it not been for the Navy funding our uniforms, they would have. This program keeps us busy, dedicated, honest, hard working, off the streets and out of troubles. It also allows us to show everyone what the furture leaders of the great country we live in consist of. We need programs like this in our teach us Discipline and Integrity. To teach the young men and woman of the club that nothing worth having comes free. However We do not have any money to compete outside of our own county. The Henry county Board of Education does not consider our cause worthwild. Please consider us for this grant as we need this money to compete Nationally. Thanks for your consideration. Joshua Hamilton
