Who knew that a backpack full of items such as crayons, coloring books, snacks, water, and a CareBear could make such a big difference in the lives of children. Well, our local news papers, local schools, our local news station and three local companies absolutely does as they helped Joshua and I collect hundreds of items and money to give out to children as well as award us with an award called "Giving Your Best" through Channel Six news as winners Joshua and I know just how important it is to show we care through our Diseaster Relief Project.

Joshua and I also gain recognition through our local news papers whiched caused people to donate items as well as money to help us purchase more items for our Disaster Relief efforts.

Joshua and I are also are up for another award called the "Jefferson Davis Award" because of our project. Joshua and I are going to continue our efforts of giving to children that are in need through whatever means possible. We know that our project will only continue to grow because of such great people and companies like the ones that has helped us achieve success with our project.

So, a big thanks goes out to Do Something, Aiken Standard-North Augusta Star, Augusta Chronicle-North Augusta Today, Channel Six News and their partners - Georgia Bank and Trust, Solvay Advance Polymers, and Walton Rehabilitation Health System as well as our schools North Augusta Middle and High School.
